Paradise offers in ground and above ground pool closings. Please call the store or email us to schedule an appointment that works best for you. Please keep in mind you should close your pool when it is clean and balanced. If you are not able to do so, you may schedule us to come and do it for you before your closing.
Above Ground Pool Closing Procedure:
You will:

Leave all of your supplies out to close the pool (Cover, plugs, cable, winch, etc.)

Lower the water if possible below the skimmer, if you do not have an Aquador
We will:
- Lower the water if it has not been lowered already
- Take out your ladder
- Take out your returns, disconnecting all of your hoses, and put in your plugs
- Put a plate over or a plug in your skimmer
- Drain all of your equipment making sure it is free from any water residue.
- Add winterization chemicals into your pool.
- Inflate your pillow and put it in your pool.
- Put the cover on your pool, and attach it with a cable using a winch.
*It is very important that you use a cover pump to keep the water off the cover throughout the winter.
Inground Pool Closing Procedure:
You will:
- Leave all of your supplies out to close the pool (Cover, plugs, waterbags,etc)
- Lower the water if possible below the skimmer.
We will:
- Lower the water if it has not been lowered already
- Take out your ladder
- Blow out all of your lines
- Insert plugs where needed.
- Put a gizzmo in your skimmers
- Add winterization chemicals into your pool.
- Put the cover on your pool- Either hooking up your springs using the anchors for a safety cover. Or filling water bags for your solid cover.
You should chemically clean your filter grids at the end of each season. We offer this service at an additional charge if you may choose. We will clean the grids, inspect them for repairs, and store them in our warehouse over the winter.
